Originally settled as a farm, the town of Aynor grew strongly after it was joined by the railroad to Conway, which is just 15 miles away. Incorporated in 1913, the town soon elected a mayor and town council members and grew to its present size of around 900 residents.

Previously known for producing turpentine, tobacco, and cotton, Aynor has a vibrant local community with events throughout the year for all the family to enjoy. Known as the Little Golden Town, it’s close to the Grand Strand so there’s plenty for everyone to enjoy.
